HOW TO IMPROVE AND BUILD A STRONG LOVE-LIFE

By Rev Michael Benson Ajayi

Luke 10:2-3  "The harvest is great, but the workers are few. So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields”
Rebellion by children is a response to the stimuli of rejection. Most of us carry the scares of rejection in our lives and if not properly healed could spill over to the lives of our children. Hurting people feel it is normal to hurt others, most cases of abuse are traceable to a history of abuse common among victims of rejection . Only God can heal a broken heart only if we allow Him to.
Most persons have adapted to the life of rejection by building a shield around themselves to minimize the pain from rejection. They never commit fully to any relationship out of fear of being rejected and this affects their relationship and fellowship with God, the result is a world were heartbreak and abuse has become a norm with  far reaching consequences which includes an increase in substance abuse, breakups ,suicide and lots more. The effect of heartbreak and rejection is no respecter of persons likewise is God’s  unconditional love .The scripture says God so loves the world, that it includes you ( John3:16).
Adam and eve introduced rejection into the world when they turned their backs on God’s unconditional love for Satan’s ways of self-preservation. Self-preservation requires going into a relationship for selfish reasons. This is the bane of all heartaches. Through Jesus’ love ,the world is being healed by the power of God’s unconditional love.
Every believer in Christ should have a passion for souls. God does not force His love down the throat of anyone neither would He coerce anyone into preaching the gospel of His unconditional love against their will. We are expected out of the urgent  need to heal a dying world requests to be used by Him . The gospel is to be thought experientially with personal testimonies attesting to the power of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ as a demonstration of God’s love for humanity and the provisions His unconditional love has made available to us .
The early disciples were driven by the love for God and demonstrated it through the zeal displayed in the spread of the gospel across the world at the risk of losing their lives . We are the light of the world. Experiencing the love of Christ causes us to be saturated with the fullness of God (Eph. 3:19) and makes us irresistible witnesses to the world.
It was this love for God displayed by the early apostles that opened the hearts of men to them unlike the business or modern money- driven evangelical techniques being displayed in today’s  church.   We need to pray for the restoration of this love back into our hearts. Its is through the church that the love of Christ is experienced by the world. The world is not impressed by Christians rituals but by love demonstrated through the selfless Christian life John 13:35 NIV  “By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another."
As we surrender are hearts willfully  to the Holy Spirit,  we become instruments through which His love is displayed to the world, Rom 5:5 NLT “And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love. “ Through the Holy Ghost we can love people whom many consider as unlovable  without fear and by so doing our hearts are fortified against emotional hurts . As you read this now, receive healing wherever you hurt as you make a commitment to share the gospel of God’s love in Jesus name.
