HOW TO INCREASE YOUR FAITH

Matthew 17:20 "And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I

say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this
mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing
shall be impossible unto you."
       Matt 17:9-20; Mk 9:9-27; Lk9:37-42       The disciples' unbelief in this instance was not a disbelief in God's power to produce deliverance, but rather a human kind of unbelief that came from an insensitive heart that yielded more to factual or circumstantial evidence than to what it believed in God's word. Just as it takes a little spark to set a large forest ablaze ,likewise only very small amount of faith as "mustard seed"is sufficient to remove a mountain, if no unbelief is present to hinder it.
         Unbelief is like a fire extinguisher that quenches the fire of
faith .Unbelief is a lack of trust for God. Jesus was disappointed that His disciples had not been able to cast this devil out in Matt.17:15-19. These disciples had already used this power and authority successfully on previous occasions, making them more accountable than others. They weren't just normal men any longer. They had a supernatural ability and calling.We also receive power from heaven when the Holy Ghost comes upon us, and it becomes our normal Christian service to use this power to serve others
      We can always look around and find a lot of Christians who are not using this power, but 2 Corinthians 10:12 says that comparing ourselves among ourselves is not wise. Do not compare yourself with people who do not believe in the supernatural , it is one sure way to lose faith in the supernatural. Do not model yourself after a spiritually inactive christian . It is abnormal to operate by faith among humans but normal in the spirit.Refuse to adapt to unbelief ,always strive to experience new dimensions of God's grace .Faith increases the more we meditate on God's word. The power of God is in His word. The more of His word we receive, the more faith we develop.  The miracle working power of God resides within you and its put to work by faith just as a wall switch activates electric bulb. As you read this now receive grace for excellence in your adventure in faith in Jesus name.

CONSEQUENCES OF LACK OF FAITH

Believe!”John 20:27 NLTBible     Faith is the guarantee of the manifestation an unseen reality . It is the reason behind the hope we have in God and the fulfilment of his promises. It is the substance ( title deed) of things hoped for ,the evidence of things not seen (Hebrew 11:1) .The Bible warns against not having faith in God. COMMON CAUSES OF DISUNITY.

Proverbs 29:22 NLTBible        Disunity is defined as : disagreement and conflict within a group. It is the greatest hindrance to the promotion of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Disunity creates an avenue for Satan to promote sin.       The causes of disunity are not farfetched ,they include : Unhealthy Crave for power or self- promotion. Whenever there is an unhealthy pursuit of influence in a family or group it results in resistance. Self-promotion gives birth to unfair practices and injustices. In Numbers 12: 1-15  Moses' sister Miriam and Aaron rebelled against him desiring to rule by force and in Numbers 16 :1-35 Korah led an insurrection against Moses desiring to be part of leadership.
