"WE HAVE EQUAL ACCESS "

By Rev.Michael Benson Ajayi
Matthew 6:10 AMP "Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven."
The first statement in what is popularly known as the 'lord’s prayer' (Matthew 6 :9) is the phrase "our Father " meaning God is the father of all, He is not more of a Father to any one person than to another as human religion would want us to believe. Nobody has the monopoly of access to God. Therefore, all prayers , petitions, thanksgiving and supplication should be made directly to Him.
We have equal access to the Heavenly Father on equal bases with same opportunities. The knowledge of our relationship with the Father exposes us to the power of His Kingdom. The word 'kingdom'  is the Greek word 'basileia' it means ; properly, rule, a realm, bases, and it owes its origin from  another Greek word 'basis' which means to walk ; a pace ("base"), therefore, when Jesus prayed 'thy kingdom come ' what He meant is that our steps be guided by him in other to establish His rule on earth for the purpose of attaining proper governance. There cannot be a proper administration of justice on earth outside the rule of God’s kingdom. The kingdom of God is all about being under a divine influence . This is what is also known as being under grace.
The power of influence is demonstrated by one's ability to change lives  therefore, when a person is under the influence of the kingdom of God, such a person radiates righteousness ( moral rectitude ) peace and joy in the Holy Ghost (Romans 14:17) . This should be the experience when we encounter a Christian , one should have a sense of peace, moral rectitude and joy. An encounter with a modern religious christian is most likely to give one a sense of depression, hopelessness and sadness. This is why most persons would rather worship God independent of any religious affiliation, but this is contrary to the will of God in Heb.10:25. We are enjoined to fellowship with each other as a way of strengthening one another.
Traditional religion requires our worshiping God using human parameters. This is fraught with inconsistencies, deceit, hypocrisy and fraud : reoccurring decimals in the polity of nations engrossed in religion. We should be praying that the kingdom manifest through us to a dying world that's becoming more disenchanted with the status quo.
There are two types of Christians , the traditional religious Christians and the born again christians . The former worships God without a personal relationship ( has go- between) and an illogical approach to  the scriptures. Religious Christians aren't allowed by the leadership to have an independent rationalization of of scriptures. They are subjective in reasoning and illogical . They are often told to " take it by faith ". Therefore, a religious leader could instruct members to purchase a religious paraphernalia for protection against evil and yet he or she drives around with heavenly armed guards and yet followers can't see the fraud.. Apostle Paul calls this a bewitching in Galatians 3.1-3 . This is contrary to the born again experience, under this system, the kingdom of God has the preeminence and emphasis is placed on personal knowledge ,understanding of who God is and faith is considered as being logical, emotional ,intuitive and volitional.
Religion presents God as a distant personality somewhere in the cosmos who is hard to please for this reason many truly find it hard to repent for fear failure to keep up with the demands of religion .This is contrary to Matthew 3:2 AMP "And saying, Repent (think differently; change your mind, regretting your sins and changing your conduct), for the kingdom of heaven is at hand." this means true repentance is only possible when done under the influence of the kingdom. The power of the kingdom is the enablement we receive to live for Christ, not by our strength but the power of His Kingdom. The scriptures speaking in Luke 11:20 says the power of God is within reach.
Jesus is the embodiment of the power of the kingdom of God. He said except a man be 'born again', he can't see the kingdom of God ( John 3:3) . When we receive Jesus as lord and saviour we automatically receive the kingdom and are exposed to the reality of His power within us. The church of Christ is the mystical body of Christ on earth and the personification of the kingdom of God on earth, the scriptures describes this function of the church in Ephesians 3:9-10 AMP "Also to enlighten all men and make plain to them what is the plan [regarding the Gentiles and providing for the salvation of all men] of the mystery kept hidden through the ages and concealed until now in [the mind of] God Who created all things by Christ Jesus. [The purpose is] that through the church the complicated, many-sided wisdom of God in all its infinite variety and innumerable aspects might now be made known to the angelic rulers and authorities (principalities and powers) in the heavenly sphere." it is through the instrumentality of the church that the world can truly attain its full potentials.
The scriptures says in Luke6: 20 "And he lifted up his eyes on his disciples, and said, Blessed be ye poor: for yours is the kingdom of God. " what this means is once a person receives Jesus, they are translated into God’s Kingdom and the king (God) has made provisions for his subjects and He alone can truly guarantee their security. As you read this receive insight for unlimited provisions in the kingdom of God in Jesus name.
