HOW TO RECEIVE THE HOLY GHOST

 John 20:22-23 NKJV  “ And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and said to them, "Receive the Holy Spirit.”
  After His resurrection, Jesus instructed His disciples to wait in Jerusalem until they receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit  and be empowered for missionary work; this is contrary to the  theology which says all Christians have the Holy Spirit in them (Acts1:4). It also dismisses the notion by religious groups who claim the Holy Spirit is a man with flesh and blood.  The Holy Spirit is the essence of all spiritual pursuits. One cannot be truly effective in his or her service to God without the Holy Spirit. It is for this reason that Jesus expressly instructed His disciples in Luke 24:49 NKJV “Behold, I send the Promise of My Father upon you; but tarry in the city of Jerusalem until you are endued with power from on high." This means the Holy Spirit is the power of God that is meant to be received consequent on our salvation. We do not all have the Holy Spirit.
         Christians without the Holy Spirit are full of excuses , fear, bitterness, confusion (2Tim 1:7) and cannot fully represent God’s kingdom.To be baptized in the Holy Ghost one must first receive Jesus Christ as  saviour: He is only given to children of God who crave for Him “If any man is thirsty, let him come unto me and drink.” Jn. 7:37 it is a precious gift from God to you. You do not earn this gift.  It starts with renouncing (disown, separate and depart completely from) hidden sins (2Cor. 4:2) . We have to turn away from idol worship. Witchcraft, sorcery, fortune telling, amulets and charms, secret cults etc. because they discredit the church. God only gives the Holy Spirit to those who obey him (Acts 5. 32.) one can not be in possession of a mystical book or charm and yet receive the Holy Ghost, the scriptures say in Acts 19:18,19   “Many of the believers who has been practicing black magic confused their deeds, and brought their incantation books and charms and burned them at a public bonfire” 
   You may have to Say this prayer to the Lord: “Lord, I renounce my fellowship with (name the cult) and break my covenants with Satan and hell this day and I surrender my life to Jesus Christ and I come under the protective cover of the blood of Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost. Amen.
     Getting baptized in the Holy Ghost is as easy as waiting to receive a family member into your room. You must not experience any physiological changes before you believe :but comfortably expect as the disciples were in (Acts 2:2) they were sitting down in high expectation of faith .The Bible says: “… your heavenly Father gives the Holy Spirit to them that ask him.” Luke 11:13, quietly ask the Father to fill you with the Spirit, and through faith believe that He has answered your prayer and receive the spirit by faith. Remember Jesus simply breath on the disciples saying  “Receive the Holy Spirit!” Jn. 20:22. The spirit is received the same way we receive wind (Gk :pneuma) this is also known as  “drinking” of the Spirit, just as you open your mouth to drink water. It is not  an emotional experience and  does not require one feeling in any special way , it is like receiving a phone call or getting  registered to an internet network. It’s strictly a faith based exercise that opens the door to infinite power for creativity, the miraculous  and excellence.
 Prayers : Heavenly Father forgive me for my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive grace for uncommon strength and excellence in Jesus name.

CONSEQUENCES OF LACK OF FAITH

COMMON CAUSES OF DISUNITY.

Proverbs 29:22 NLTBible        Disunity is defined as : disagreement and conflict within a group. It is the greatest hindrance to the promotion of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Disunity creates an avenue for Satan to promote sin.       The causes of disunity are not farfetched ,they include : Unhealthy Crave for power or self- promotion. Whenever there is an unhealthy pursuit of influence in a family or group it results in resistance. Self-promotion gives birth to unfair practices and injustices. In Numbers 12: 1-15  Moses' sister Miriam and Aaron rebelled against him desiring to rule by force and in Numbers 16 :1-35 Korah led an insurrection against Moses desiring to be part of leadership.
