WE ARE NOT COMMANDED TO TITHE UNDER THE NEW TESTAMENT , BUT..... (PART 1)

Mal 3:10 KJV  “Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it”
 Tithing is an acknowledgment of God's ownership of the universe and it was used to meet the material need of the clergy, stranded stranger, orphans and widows (Deut 26:12-13).  The word ‘windows ‘ is the Hebrew word ‘arubbah’ it means chimney (vent) ,a sluice (opening for water ). Water is symbolic of refreshment, while the chimney is symbolic of peace. Smoke symbolized intense anger (Gen.19:28,74:1, Psalm 102:3) From all indications, there was a reward for tithing according to the old testament. Tithing brought about pleasantness to the tither and the community. Under the new testament we are blessed with all spiritual blessings including the blessings of tithing (Eph1:3) and God will not place a curse on you for not tithing the same way He we are not cursed for not reading for exams, brushing our teeth in the morning, eating with dirty plates , having sex outside marriage and  throwing fireworks into a propane gas bottling plant . However, the negligence of certain obligations come with undeniable consequences. 
The purpose of tithing was for the devotee to learn how to make pleasing God his or her top priority (Deut 14:22-23) Deut 14:22-24 NIV “Be sure to set aside a tenth of all that your fields produce each year. 23 .. so that you may learn to revere the Lord your God always.”    The same applies in the new testament, whenever we give it is a demonstration of our faith and love towards God and it comes with rewards. This is summarized in psalm 112: 1-10  They include 1 (verse 1)- influential children (spiritual and physical )2- (verse 3) material wealth 3- (verse 4) hope in times of crisis 4- (verse 5 ) they enjoy goodwill 5- (verse 6) stability 6-(verse 7) courage and confidence in trouble times 7- (verse 8)victory over his enemies 8- (verse) High Christian morals , faith, integrity and promotion  9- (verse 10) gradual suicide by our enemies .  
The words tithing and tithe appears six times in the New Testament (Matt 23:23; Luke 11:42; 18:12;  Heb 7:5-6,8-9) in reference to Jewish costumes and traditions and nowhere are we commanded to obey the old testament law of tithing .
      Believers are expected to share their possessions with those in need and support the Christian ministry were they are being nourished. Jesus Christ demonstrated this during his earthly ministry. Giving under the new testament is to be cheerful, voluntary, willing and a demonstration of our accountability to God. We are called faithful stewards of all our possessions Rom 14:12  TLB “Yes, each of us will give an account of himself to God.” In death we shall stand before God give account on how we spent His money and other resources, therefore, how we spend His resources in our care should be guided by conscience (2Cor.8:1-15) and we should not allow the enemy deprive us of our rights and privileges through the voice of guilt and condemnation. The world thinks it is ok for those promoting sin in the entertainment industry to be rewarded with material wealth but a preacher with a legitimate business should not enjoy the good things of life. They are classified as being relegated to poverty.
This is contrary to God’s will for the church; He created all things for us to enjoy Isa 61: 6 AMP says  “But you shall be called the priests of the Lord; people will speak of you as the ministers of our God. You shall eat the wealth of the nations, and the glory [once that of your captors] shall be yours. [Ex 19:6; 1 Peter 2:5; Rev 1:6; 5:10; 20:6.] “In these last days, preachers shall excel in banking, politics, agriculture, medicine, industry , innovation and technology by the anointing of God’s favour and shall control vast business enterprises with a global reach and shall control the majority shares of the wealth of the nations of the earth , no longer shall they be mocked . For the earth is the Lords and He delights in the prosperity of His servants. 
Prayer: Heavenly Father, forgive me of my sins against you, I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation, I receive him as lord and savior and receive grace for creativity and productivity in Jesus name.

CONSEQUENCES OF LACK OF FAITH

COMMON CAUSES OF DISUNITY.

Proverbs 29:22 NLTBible        Disunity is defined as : disagreement and conflict within a group. It is the greatest hindrance to the promotion of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Disunity creates an avenue for Satan to promote sin.       The causes of disunity are not farfetched ,they include : Unhealthy Crave for power or self- promotion. Whenever there is an unhealthy pursuit of influence in a family or group it results in resistance. Self-promotion gives birth to unfair practices and injustices. In Numbers 12: 1-15  Moses' sister Miriam and Aaron rebelled against him desiring to rule by force and in Numbers 16 :1-35 Korah led an insurrection against Moses desiring to be part of leadership.
