 Luke 12:19-20 " And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry. But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?"
        The level of security the world over is at its lowest ebb as a result of the increase in terrorism . There is a growing apprehension about the safety of businesses, marriages, finances as a result of the growing insecurity worldwide resulting in adverse health conditions.
        Fear, uncertainty, anxiety about the future is the aftermath of  the systemic rejection of God's word. The word of God is light repelling darkness from the hearts of men. In luke.12:16-18 Jesus' parable is a reflection of the failing world's security system . This system revolves around the concept of the acquisition of wealth for security against the rainy days . Rather than give out his estate to those in need, this fellow in Luke 12:19-20 chose to demolish the old estate in order to make room for a bigger one.
     All around the world, homes are being demolished and properties belonging to the poor are forcefully  possessed by the rich in order to make way for estates whose prices are beyond the reach of the average citizen and this is one the main reasons for global insecurity. Farmlands have been turned to empty playgrounds for the rich thus increasing food insecurity across the world.
        The scriptures speaks of the consequences of land -grabbing in Isaiah 32: 14 -18 "Because the palaces shall be forsaken; the multitude of the city shall be left; the forts and towers shall be for dens for ever, a joy of wild asses, a pasture of flocks; Until the spirit be poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness be a fruitful field, and the fruitful field be counted for a forest. Then judgment shall dwell in the wilderness, and righteousness remain in the fruitful field. And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever. And my people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places;" what this means is that properties built out of this oppressive schemes will be left unoccupied and will become a den for criminals and a habitation for wild animals until their  owners repent of their misdeeds and embrace righteousness.
      The effect of the spirit of righteousness upon our lives shall be safer neighborhoods ,quietness and rest for all . Lands grabbing and theft of resources  is the reason behind global terror because it leads to inequality in society. The present spate of global terrorism is proof that money cannot guarantee security, terrorism knows no bounds.
           The fellow in luke12: must have been a victim of the monster he helped create : the scriptures says in verse 20 that he suffered an attack at night which cost him his life . God would rather have us use our excess wealth to build structures that alleviates poverty .
         Stability of mind comes from having a personal relationship with Jesus through His word (Heb.13:8,Rom: 35-39) , nothing in this world can guarantee our security , when we place more emphasis on building wealth than our relationship with Christ, it leads to anxiety and fear and the destruction of marriages and families ( Matthew 6:25-33) we must learn to put our cares on the lord : the world security system may fail, Jesus never fails ( 1peter5:7) and anytime we are tempted to feel insecure, we should meditate on His word and set our hearts on Him ( Psalm 31:24). He promises that no misfortune shall befall you neither shall the plague come near your dwelling place ( Psalm91:1-14). Always pray asking the lord to direct your steps away from places prone to disaster. He is our fortress. 
Prayer : Heavenly Father forgive me for my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive grace for protection against disaster   in Jesus name.

CONSEQUENCES OF LACK OF FAITH

COMMON CAUSES OF DISUNITY.

Proverbs 29:22 NLTBible        Disunity is defined as : disagreement and conflict within a group. It is the greatest hindrance to the promotion of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Disunity creates an avenue for Satan to promote sin.       The causes of disunity are not farfetched ,they include : Unhealthy Crave for power or self- promotion. Whenever there is an unhealthy pursuit of influence in a family or group it results in resistance. Self-promotion gives birth to unfair practices and injustices. In Numbers 12: 1-15  Moses' sister Miriam and Aaron rebelled against him desiring to rule by force and in Numbers 16 :1-35 Korah led an insurrection against Moses desiring to be part of leadership.
