FOUNDATION FOR LASTING SUCCESS 1

  "Listen to me, you leaders of Israel!   You hate justice and twist all that is right. 

You are building Jerusalem on a foundation of murder and corruption. Micah 3:9-10

You rulers make decisions based on bribes;     you priests teach God’s laws only for a price; you prophets won’t prophesy unless you are paid.     Yet all of you claim to depend on the lord. “No harm can come to us,” you say,     “for the lord is here among us.” Micah 3:11

Because of you, Mount Zion will be plowed like an open field; Jerusalem will be reduced to ruins! A thicket will grow on the heights     where the Temple now stands. Micah 3:12

   Psalm 11:  3 "If the foundations  be destroyed, what can the righteous do?

 The word 'foundation' is the Hebrew word shâthâh it means a basis, that is, (figuratively) political or moral support: - foundation, purpose. The church of Jesus Christ stands on the foundations of the teachings of the early apostles . The bible says in 1 Corinthians 3: 11" For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ." and Ephesians 2: 20 "And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and  prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; "

    The foundations of lasting success is built on the political or moral support system of the early apostles as handed by Jesus Christ to fulfil God's purpose for salvation of humanity  .

  The basis of all church activities revolved around the core values of the doctrine of Jesus Christ : pursuit of righteousness , peace and joy in the Holy Ghost (Rom14:17) 

   Jesus' teaching centred on repentance and baptism in the Holy Ghost . The Bible says in Acts 2;38 "Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." 

  This was the theme of the teachings of the church of the 80''s until capitalism crept into the church through Hollywood styled  Televangelist and the doctrine of 'dominion ' replaced repentance and baptism in the Holy Ghost in the 90's . The church in Nigeria and America began to merchandise the anointing of the Holy Ghost like in the time of prophet Micah. 

     The result of this grave error is  described in Micah 3 :2-3 " but you are the very ones     who hate good and love evil. You skin my people alive     and tear the flesh from their bones.  Yes, you eat my people’s flesh,     strip off their skin,   and break their bones. You chop them up   like meat for the cooking pot. "

  The church has been stripped of their social and financial capital through countless donations, church programs and ponzi schemes by stakeholders . The church has never been this poor in decades. Most cannot afford three meals a day due to the activities of these preachers. 

    At times like this God has a remnant who won't be enticed and will yearn for the righteousness of God in the church . Through prayers and teaching of the doctrine of the early apostles on repentance and baptism in the Holy Ghost a fire will be kindled to expose the foundations of every Christian ministry " ..I will discover the foundations thereof " Micah1:6

 Prayer: Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Ghost and power to overcome the tempter in Jesus name.

CONSEQUENCES OF LACK OF FAITH

Believe!”John 20:27 NLTBible     Faith is the guarantee of the manifestation an unseen reality . It is the reason behind the hope we have in God and the fulfilment of his promises. It is the substance ( title deed) of things hoped for ,the evidence of things not seen (Hebrew 11:1) .The Bible warns against not having faith in God. Lack of faith is equal to calling God a liar and untrustworthy. COMMON CAUSES OF DISUNITY.

Proverbs 29:22 NLTBible        Disunity is defined as : disagreement and conflict within a group. It is the greatest hindrance to the promotion of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Disunity creates an avenue for Satan to promote sin.       The causes of disunity are not farfetched ,they include : Unhealthy Crave for power or self- promotion. Whenever there is an unhealthy pursuit of influence in a family or group it results in resistance. Self-promotion gives birth to unfair practices and injustices. In Numbers 12: 1-15  Moses' sister Miriam and Aaron rebelled against him desiring to rule by force and in Numbers 16 :1-35 Korah led an insurrection against Moses desiring to be part of leadership.
