As wise as it may sound this logic has caused more harm than good. A child does not need to be thrown into shark- infested waters to learn a lesson on safety in the sea. This way of thinking has destroyed many marriages . John9:5 ".....I am the light of the world"             Life is a journey which sometimes requires moving in the dark therefore, illumination is a must for night journeys to avoid stumbling  .During the day we have a clearer vision of the hazards along our path, despite this , we still need to depend on sound judgment and our navigational skills for a safer journey.  In John 11, Jesus compares His decision to return to Judea to that of a man traveling during the day. It is one of our rights as God’s children (Mark16:17) despite our imperfections.          Any born again Christian can cast out devils. Through God's wisdom we know that we can influence a person's actions towards us , that's what the scripture means when it says do unto others as you would want them do to you (Matt7:12).
