FOUL AND OBSCENE LANGUAGE HINDERS BREAKTHROUGHS

James 3:10-11 “ And so blessing and cursing come pouring out of the same mouth. Surely, my brothers and sisters, this is not right! “
Rom 3:14 "Their mouths are full of cursing and bitterness."
  Cursing is the act of using profane or vulgar language , it is a characteristics of the fallen human nature and counterproductive to the new creation in Jesus Christ .  Foul language and cursing is often manifested when we are angry  or impatient . Ecclesiastes 5:2 says “ Do not be rash with your mouth..”
     It is difficult manifesting the Christ-like nature with foul language and cursing James 1:19-21“ ..understand this, my dear brothers and sisters: You must all be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry. Human anger does not produce the righteousness God desires. “ the words we speak have power and they affect the lives of hearers negatively or positively . Using foul language and cursing while seeking for breakthroughs  results in painful disappointments  , the scriptures says Prov 29:20 “ There is more hope for a fool than for someone who speaks without thinking.” 
  Foul language and cursing opens the door for self destruction , it removes our spiritual cover especially when we curse persons in authority (presidents ,governors, preachers , parents etc ) Shimei cursed king David in his low times and fell into the trap of self condemnation and destruction (1kings2:8-9) It is behind the failure of many marriages . A Cursing spouse is a source of emotional trauma to their family.
     Habitually using foul language and curses opens the doors for satanic manipulations, the apostle Peter discovered this when he was faced with the fear of being arrested as a follower of Jesus Christ after his arrest . The scriptures says in Matt 26:74NLT Peter swore, "A curse on me if I'm lying—I don't know the man!" This resulted in guilt and condemnation.  The next verse says Matt 26:75 NLT “ Suddenly, Jesus' words flashed through Peter's mind: "Before the rooster crows, you will deny three times that you even know me." And he went away, weeping bitterly.”  
    Overwhelming guilt and condemnation results in the defilement of the soul  and leads to corruption in a society  Matt 12:36-37 TLB  “And I tell you this, that you must give account on Judgment Day for every idle word you speak. Your words now reflect your fate then: either you will be justified by them or you will be condemned."   The scriptures says in Proverbs  18:7 “The mouths of fools are their ruin; they trap themselves with their lips.” Also  proverbs 12:13 NIV  says “An evil man is trapped by his sinful talk, but a righteous man escapes trouble. “  all it takes to breed a culture of cursing and foul language in the society is for a person of social influence to curse openly James 3:6,9 NIV says “The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole person, sets the whole course of his life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell. .. With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in God's likeness.”
Prayer : Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and savior and receive the Holy Spirit and grace for productive communication management and excellence in Jesus name

CONSEQUENCES OF LACK OF FAITH

COMMON CAUSES OF DISUNITY.

Proverbs 29:22 NLTBible        Disunity is defined as : disagreement and conflict within a group. It is the greatest hindrance to the promotion of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Disunity creates an avenue for Satan to promote sin.       The causes of disunity are not farfetched ,they include : Unhealthy Crave for power or self- promotion. Whenever there is an unhealthy pursuit of influence in a family or group it results in resistance. Self-promotion gives birth to unfair practices and injustices. In Numbers 12: 1-15  Moses' sister Miriam and Aaron rebelled against him desiring to rule by force and in Numbers 16 :1-35 Korah led an insurrection against Moses desiring to be part of leadership.
