MAKING YOUR CALLING AND ELECTION SURE (2)

Eph 4:1 AMP “ I THEREFORE, the prisoner for the Lord, appeal to and beg you to walk (lead a life) worthy of the [divine] calling to which you have been called [with behavior that is a credit to the summons to God's service,”
   The Christian calling is a lifetime commitment to propagate the gospel of God’s kindness using the resources at our disposal and by the enabling power of the Holy Ghost . We are assigned coaches whose guidance eventually leads us to locate our calling in Christ .
     Some of the areas of specialization include the ministry of RECONCILIATION - This involves bringing together persons who are at war with the hope of having them live in peace with each other. The bible says blessed are the peace makers.
      There is also the FINE ARTS ministry, this is spreading the gospel through esthetics derived from creative arts such as movies, music, painting, drama . This is better achieved through the instrumentality of MORDERN MEDIA such as the internet, radio, TV and films .Modern Media  is also a ministry that brings glory to God .
      There is the LITERATURE ministry were the power of written words if well harnessed could serve as a vehicle to convey the gospel to many persons. This requires some effort but the reward is tremendous. Publishing articles and books and distributing them is a very effective way of spreading the gospel.
     SOCIAL CONCERN AND VISITATION is a ministry which involves taking God’s love to others when they cannot come to us especially the sick , senior citizens , lonely , poor and needy in the society. We are the Jesus these ones can see and their faith in the lord and love for Him is strengthened through this ministry.
   There is the HOSPITALITY ministry whose responsibility is to give a warm welcome to those visiting the church and hosting evangelical dinners and parties through which the gospel is shared. During such meetings the Holy Communion is shared and prayers made for those in need of a divine intervention.
 The INTERCESSORY Ministry is an indispensible ministry in every church requiring fasting and praying for others and standing in the gap for nations that they may experience the manifestation of the grace of God through miracles signs and wonders. This ministry requires walking in love and forgiveness for others for prayers to be effective. All believers are called to intercede.
     There is also the MIRACLE AND HEALING ministry which involves proving the power of the gospel through signs and wonders . This ministry is designed to point people to the lord and involves healing the sick. This ministry is a demonstration of God’s love and care for humanity through signs and wonders.
 The Mercy and Giving ministry is a ministry in the body of Christ which caters for practical needs thus giving hope to the hopeless and their faith and love for the lord reinforced. This requires wisdom to know those who are truly in need. Other ministries include SERVING AND HELPS which requires practical service in the local assembly by deacons and deaconesses. There is also the administrative or GOVERNMENT ministry whose responsibility is to plan, organize and execute church programs and projects.  There is also the ENCOURAGEMENT ministry whose purpose is to inspire people to worship, work and evangelize.
    A person could exhibit and operate in two or more of these ministries as the Holy Ghost enable and the best place to develop these gifts is in the local church.
Prayer : Heavenly Father , forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and savior and receive grace and zeal to be active and fruitful in your vineyard in Jesus name.
