YOUR PASTOR AND YOUR SPIRITUAL AND EMOTIONAL GROWTH (1)

Heb 13:17-18  AMP
“ Obey your spiritual leaders and submit to them [continually recognizing their authority over you], for they are constantly keeping watch over your souls and guarding your spiritual welfare, as men who will have to render an account [of their trust]. [Do your part to] let them do this with gladness and not with sighing and groaning, for that would not be profitable to you [either].  “
     The LORD Jesus Christ is the chief shepherd of his flock - the church- and has appointed under-shepherd (Pastors, overseers) as care givers to the church. The church is one universal mystical living body of believers and yet compartmentalized for effectiveness and efficiency in administering care to each person (sheep) there is a symbiotic relationship which exists between the flock and the shepherd. First , we do not chose who our pastor should be , the Lord assigns  pastors to us  based on our life’s experience ,skills , spiritual gifts, emotions, personality (temperament ) heart and abilities,   Jer 3:15 Says “ And I will give you [spiritual] shepherds after My own heart [in the final time], who will feed you with knowledge and understanding and judgment. “ AMP Bible.  The right pastor facilitates growth, spiritually, emotionally and physically (materially).
     The pastor is expected to feed the flock with relevant knowledge with respect to every facet of life , he may sometimes do this in partnership with other pastors of similar calling to achieve this goal . Your deliverance lies in your ability to receive knowledge and understanding Proverbs  11:9 says “  ... but through knowledge shall the just be delivered. KJV also 1 Corinthians 2:15 says “ But the spiritual man tries all things [he examines, investigates, inquires into, questions, and discerns all things], yet is himself to be put on trial and judged by no one [he can read the meaning of everything, but no one can properly discern or appraise or get an insight into him].  From this scripture we see that a pastor is expected to be well informed about spiritual, political, scientific, economic, socio-cultural and emotional issues. The pastor is a vast reader and continues to update his knowledge base through constant research.
    There are consequences for not having a pastor  , it is summed up in  Proverbs  27:8  “ As a bird that wandereth from her nest, so is a man that wandereth from his place. KJV Such a person is devoid of the warmth that comes from nesting. Emotional stability is one of the benefits of being in a fold of believers where the word of God is being taught.  Most pastors will testify that the most stable and peaceful homes are those of persons consistent with a cordial relationship with the congregation of believers and church leaders.  The congregation of believers accords persons who never had the opportunity to be raised in a family setting to learn how to behave in a community of believers and the family. Through, the testimonies of pastors we are able to receive wisdom which we apply in our homes.
      In the course of life’s journey pastor’s also serve as guarantors in marriages , businesses , jobs and other  occasions where a guarantor is needed  ,it for that reason that we are advised to be obedient to them in Hebrews 13:17-18 . Jesus Christ does not allow for independent membership in his church or a government within a government, you must locate your spiritual head  Rom 13:1-3 says “Everyone must submit to governing authorities. For all authority comes from God, and those in positions of authority have been placed there by God.  So anyone who rebels against authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and they will be punished.” The only time you are free from a spiritual authority is when it is acting outside God’s word and you must have proof and reported this to a higher authority and asked the lord for directions or else anything outside this is termed rebellion with very unpleasant consequences .
Prayer  : Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised for my salvation , I receive him as lord and savior and receive grace for emotional stability and strong Christian character in Jesus name.

CONSEQUENCES OF LACK OF FAITH

COMMON CAUSES OF DISUNITY.

Proverbs 29:22 NLTBible        Disunity is defined as : disagreement and conflict within a group. It is the greatest hindrance to the promotion of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Disunity creates an avenue for Satan to promote sin.       The causes of disunity are not farfetched ,they include : Unhealthy Crave for power or self- promotion. Whenever there is an unhealthy pursuit of influence in a family or group it results in resistance. Self-promotion gives birth to unfair practices and injustices. In Numbers 12: 1-15  Moses' sister Miriam and Aaron rebelled against him desiring to rule by force and in Numbers 16 :1-35 Korah led an insurrection against Moses desiring to be part of leadership.
