THE SPIRIT-LED BELIEVER

  " So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. And because you belong to him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death." Romans 8:1‭-‬2 NLT

 "A good tree can’t produce bad fruit, and a bad tree can’t produce good fruit.  So every tree that does not produce good fruit is chopped down and thrown into the fire.  Yes, just as you can identify a tree by its fruit, so you can identify people by their actions. “Not everyone who calls out to me, ‘Lord! Lord!’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Only those who actually do the will of my Father in heaven will enter.  On judgment day many will say to me, ‘Lord! Lord! We prophesied in your name and cast out demons in your name and performed many miracles in your name.’  But I will reply, ‘I never knew you. Get away from me, you who break God’s laws.’ Matthew 7:18‭-‬23 NLT

   The above scriptures were spoken by Jesus Christ to his disciples  . One of the challenges a manufacturer of a product encounters is the activities of counterfeiters. To ensure proper quality control , manufactures always attach information on performance indicators to their products . So if the product does not have the characteristics as enumerated by the manufacturer then it is a counterfeit. 

   The counterfeit looks almost the same as the original but for variance in performance. Likewise Christianity has counterfeit that looks almost like the original ,they come with an embellishment of braggadocios display of sophistication and miracles that could easily convince a first timer as a house of worship . However , the owner of the Church and power of the church tells us how to identify a Holy Spirit led church : it is by its character 

   You cannot hide human character. Hardship brings out a person's true character . God subjects everybody to hardship .This is known as the fire of purification. This helps us identify true believers. 

   Holy -Spirit- led Christians hungers to see the will of God done on earth through the spreading of the gospel and pursues after holiness above all pursuits. Without holiness it impossible to see God. "Work at living in peace with everyone, and work at living a holy life, for those who are not holy will not see the Lord." Hebrews 12:14 NLT and " Those who are dominated by the sinful nature think about sinful things, but those who are controlled by the Holy Spirit think about things that please the Spirit. So letting your sinful nature control your mind leads to death. But letting the Spirit control your mind leads to life and peace. For the sinful nature is always hostile to God. It never did obey God’s laws, and it never will. That’s why those who are still under the control of their sinful nature can never please God." Romans 8:5‭-‬8 NLT

  There are performance indicators of the Holy Spirit led life ".. the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control." .Gal5:22 NLT 

Prayer:  Heavenly father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power for unlimited provisions.

CONSEQUENCES OF LACK OF FAITH

Believe!”John 20:27 NLTBible     Faith is the guarantee of the manifestation an unseen reality . It is the reason behind the hope we have in God and the fulfilment of his promises. It is the substance ( title deed) of things hoped for ,the evidence of things not seen (Hebrew 11:1) .The Bible warns against not having faith in God. Lack of faith is equal to calling God a liar and untrustworthy. COMMON CAUSES OF DISUNITY.

Proverbs 29:22 NLTBible        Disunity is defined as : disagreement and conflict within a group. It is the greatest hindrance to the promotion of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Disunity creates an avenue for Satan to promote sin.       The causes of disunity are not farfetched ,they include : Unhealthy Crave for power or self- promotion. Whenever there is an unhealthy pursuit of influence in a family or group it results in resistance. Self-promotion gives birth to unfair practices and injustices. In Numbers 12: 1-15  Moses' sister Miriam and Aaron rebelled against him desiring to rule by force and in Numbers 16 :1-35 Korah led an insurrection against Moses desiring to be part of leadership.
