WARNING AGAINST HYPOCRISY

“Not everyone who calls out to me, ‘Lord! Lord!’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Only those who actually do the will of my Father in heaven will enter." Matthew 7:21 NLT

   " The Pharisee stood by himself and prayed this prayer : ‘I thank you, God, that I am not like other people—cheaters, sinners, adulterers. I’m certainly not like that tax collector!  I fast twice a week, and I give you a tenth of my income.’ Luke 18:11‭-‬12 NLT

    Hypocrisy is the practice of engaging in the same behavior or activity for which one criticizes another or the practice of claiming to have moral standards or beliefs to which one's own behavior does not conform. In moral psychology, it is the failure to follow one's own expressed moral rules and principles ( Cambridge English Dictionary )

   Hypocrisy is the putting up of a false appearance. The gospel is truth (John 17:17) the hypocrite is a contradiction of the holy scriptures and discourages people from coming to the Lord. 

     Some hypocritical followers of Jesus Christ appear outwardly good but are inwardly evil . The bible says “Everything they do is for show..." Matthew 23:5 NLT.  and  “What sorrow awaits you ...Hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs—beautiful on the outside but filled on the inside with dead people’s bones and all sorts of impurity.  Outwardly you look like righteous people, but inwardly your hearts are filled with hypocrisy and lawlessness." Matthew 23:27‭-‬28 NLT Bible 

   They appear to be followers of Jesus Christ but are economic saboteurs ( likened to wolfs which feeds on sheep ) The church is a perfect cover for economic saboteurs because there are no distinctions in the membership creating an atmosphere of oneness .

   In Luke 18:11,12 Fasting and acts of benevolence are spiritual attributes often used by hypocrites to mislead others , fasting and offerings is not necessarily a measure of one's  devotion to God.  Humility , love and devotion to preaching the message of repentance characterize true devotees to the course of God's kingdom . 

  Hypocrisy is a false profession of love for God  and '.. the Lord says, “These people say they are mine. They honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. And their worship of me is nothing but man-made rules learned by rote." Isaiah 29:13 NLT (Matt15:8) 

  Hypocrites claim they are God's favorites but  favoritism is a sin and God has no favorites " The bible says " ... God has no favorites " Col3:25 NLT also ( Eph6:9,Gal.2:6, Mark12:14, 1Pet1:17) . 

Hypocrites practice a false holiness and religious standards that  enslaves people. That's the concept behind the endless donations and spiritual assignments for deliverance ( Mat23:4, Acts15:10, Col2:19-23) 

  Hypocrites are full of hatred "If someone says, “I love God,” but hates a fellow believer, that person is a liar; for if we don’t love people we can see, how can we love God, whom we cannot see?1 John 4:20 NLT

 Prayer : Heavenly father forgive me of my sins against you i believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again  for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and a pure loving heart in Jesus name .

CONSEQUENCES OF LACK OF FAITH

Believe!”John 20:27 NLTBible     Faith is the guarantee of the manifestation an unseen reality . It is the reason behind the hope we have in God and the fulfilment of his promises. It is the substance ( title deed) of things hoped for ,the evidence of things not seen (Hebrew 11:1) .The Bible warns against not having faith in God. COMMON CAUSES OF DISUNITY.

Proverbs 29:22 NLTBible        Disunity is defined as : disagreement and conflict within a group. It is the greatest hindrance to the promotion of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Disunity creates an avenue for Satan to promote sin.       The causes of disunity are not farfetched ,they include : Unhealthy Crave for power or self- promotion. Whenever there is an unhealthy pursuit of influence in a family or group it results in resistance. Self-promotion gives birth to unfair practices and injustices. In Numbers 12: 1-15  Moses' sister Miriam and Aaron rebelled against him desiring to rule by force and in Numbers 16 :1-35 Korah led an insurrection against Moses desiring to be part of leadership.
