DRAW FROM STRENGTH WITHIN

  Acts    1:8 " .. ye shall  receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come  upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me  both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in  Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the  earth." Acts 1:8 

   The word 'power' is the Greek word 'dunamis'. It means:  strength power, ability inherent power, power residing in a thing by virtue of its nature, or which a person or thing exerts and puts forth, power for performing miracles , moral power and excellence of soul    ,the power and influence which belong to riches and wealth " 

    Our daily demands requires physical, spiritual and emotional strength and with the passage of time we lose strength , it is for this reason that we need to be revived with strength . The anointing of the Holy Spirit is self regenerative and accessible to the believer . We do not seek for power anywhere outside the source of all power ,glory and dominion : the Holy Spirit who dwells in you .

     A drained soul is easily irritated and insensitive to the cries of persons who are hurting , it is at this point that many fall into the enemy's trap.  

Whenever we find ourselves in such a situation  we should remember the scriptures says "God is awesome .. The God of Israel gives power and strength to his people. Praise be to God!" Psalms 68:35 NLTBible  and " The Lord rescues the godly; he is their fortress in times of trouble." Psalm 37:39 NLT Bible 

   Apostle Paul taught the importance of praying for strength as believers in Ephesians 3: 16 "That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;" 

   Calm in the face of crisis is an indication of strength . The scriptures says in Isaiah 30: 7b " .. therefore have I cried concerning this,  Their strength is to sit still. "  The Lord gives strength even at our weakest " He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless. " Isaiah 40:29 NLTBible

     In the time of our weakness out of desperation , there is a tendency to put our trust in man , this is an indication of lack of faith in God and this comes with unpleasant consequences  . The Bible says "Thus says the Lord , “Cursed is the man who trusts in and relies on mankind, Making [weak, faulty human] flesh his strength, And whose mind and heart turn away from the Lord ."Jeremiah 17:5 AMP. For he will be like a shrub in the [parched] desert; And shall not see prosperity when it comes, But shall live in the rocky places of the wilderness, In an uninhabited salt land.Jeremiah 17:6 AMP. Trusting in man results in emotional bankruptcy - an overwhelming sense of insecurity.( See Rev.3:15-17) Complaining too much is a sign of trusting in man and spiritual weakness and results in evil foreboding  

      The true strength of the believer is not measured by how much physical  , social influence he or she has . We may seem weak but have extraordinary power by the Holy Spirit. The Bible says "He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you [My lovingkindness and My mercy are more than enough—always available—regardless of the situation]; for [My] power is being perfected [and is completed and shows itself most effectively] in [your] weakness.” Therefore, I will all the more gladly boast in my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ [may completely enfold me and] may dwell in me. 2 Corinthians 12:9 AMP

 Prayer : Heavenly father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for  my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Ghost and power to overcome the stiffest opposition in Jesus name.

CONSEQUENCES OF LACK OF FAITH

Believe!”John 20:27 NLTBible     Faith is the guarantee of the manifestation an unseen reality . It is the reason behind the hope we have in God and the fulfilment of his promises. It is the substance ( title deed) of things hoped for ,the evidence of things not seen (Hebrew 11:1) .The Bible warns against not having faith in God. COMMON CAUSES OF DISUNITY.

Proverbs 29:22 NLTBible        Disunity is defined as : disagreement and conflict within a group. It is the greatest hindrance to the promotion of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Disunity creates an avenue for Satan to promote sin.       The causes of disunity are not farfetched ,they include : Unhealthy Crave for power or self- promotion. Whenever there is an unhealthy pursuit of influence in a family or group it results in resistance. Self-promotion gives birth to unfair practices and injustices. In Numbers 12: 1-15  Moses' sister Miriam and Aaron rebelled against him desiring to rule by force and in Numbers 16 :1-35 Korah led an insurrection against Moses desiring to be part of leadership.
