POWER IN A CONSISTENT DISCIPLINED PRAYER HABIT

"But when Daniel learned that the law had been signed, he went home and knelt down as usual in his upstairs room, with its windows open toward Jerusalem. He prayed three times a day, just as he had always done, giving thanks to his God."Daniel 6:10 NLTBible 

   The Bible describes the church as the house of God and a temple where prayers are to be  offered for nations. Jesus Christ said in Mark 11:17  "my house shall be called a house of prayer ".  It is through prayers that nations attain good governance and peace . When believers in Jesus Christ commit themselves to truly pray for the nation ,God intervenes . They are to pray for God's will to be done . Failure  to do so results in bad governance, poverty and insecurity . 

   It is because of the importance of prayers that families are expected to have prayer discipline , father's are to lead in prayers and should be known for their prayer discipline like Daniel was . His friends knew where to find him : in his home praying .He was not ashamed praying in public .He constantly prayed for the forgiveness of the sins of his people. The Bible says " I went on praying and confessing my sin and the sin of my people, pleading with the Lord my God for Jerusalem, his holy mountain".Daniel 9:20 NLTBible

  Prayers of intercession while confessing sins for nations results in angelic visitations and revelations about God's plans for the church and the nation.   Jesus Christ had a disciplined prayer life , the scriptures says in Luke4:  16 "And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read." He participated in the prayer meetings of the Jews of his time . 

  His disciples were able to imbibe the same discipline , the Bible says  "Peter and John went to the Temple one afternoon to take part in the three o’clock prayer service."Acts  3:1 NLTBible . Participating in church services develops a person's prayer discipline.

    Peter received a revelation during his prayer hour that led to a great revival . Miraculously, Cornelius was praying  at the same time as Peter and connected to Peter by the Holy Spirit . Acts 10:3  says "He saw in a vision evidently about the ninth hour of the day an angel of God coming in to him, and saying unto him, Cornelius."Acts 10 :30 KJV  "And Cornelius said, Four days ago I was fasting until the ninth hour..." 

   Business , marriage and other connections take place through prayers  . King David prayed prayers of thanksgiving seven times a day  "I will praise you seven times a day because all your regulations are just." Psalms 119:164 NLT Bible . 

   A disciplined prayer life puts us in the best possible place to hear from God. Don't be ashamed of praying and you should be known for prayers for with God all things are possible. 

 Prayer : Heavenly Father , forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation , I receive him as Lord and saviour and receive the Holy Ghost and power to overcome complicated problems in Jesus name.

CONSEQUENCES OF LACK OF FAITH

COMMON CAUSES OF DISUNITY.

Proverbs 29:22 NLTBible        Disunity is defined as : disagreement and conflict within a group. It is the greatest hindrance to the promotion of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Disunity creates an avenue for Satan to promote sin.       The causes of disunity are not farfetched ,they include : Unhealthy Crave for power or self- promotion. Whenever there is an unhealthy pursuit of influence in a family or group it results in resistance. Self-promotion gives birth to unfair practices and injustices. In Numbers 12: 1-15  Moses' sister Miriam and Aaron rebelled against him desiring to rule by force and in Numbers 16 :1-35 Korah led an insurrection against Moses desiring to be part of leadership.
