DO NOT GIVE THE ENEMY A FOOTHOLD

"And
the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat " Luke22:31 The word 'desired' in the above text is from the Greek word exaiteomai , it means :to ask from, demand of to ask or beg for one's self, to ask that one be given up to one from the power of another " this is the language of prayer . It is known as making a petition . Satan cannot attack any human without seeking the legal rights from God. Man was created in the image of God and shares in the authority of the Godhead . However, when Adam rebelled against God he handed his rights and privileges to Satan and this has been recovered through the vicarious atonement of Jesus Christ on the cross of calvary . Notwithstanding, whenever a person contravenes or rebels against God's commandments , they indirectly surrender themselves to Satan's authority . That was the case of Peter , such a persons is a habitually liar , that is what Peter did when he denied Jesus Christ thrice . Prior to that incident Jesus Christ our intercessor and advocate had pleaded for Peter before the universal court of Divine justice . Luke 22:32 "But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren." The prayer of faith is the panacea against Satan's antics and faith comes from knowing the will of God. How do we find the will of God for our lives . (1) Circumstantial evidence : This is where God proves himself through physical circumstances "prove it to me in this way. I will put a wool fleece on the threshing floor tonight. If the fleece is wet with dew in the morning but the ground is dry, then I will know that you are going to help me rescue Israel as you promised.” Judges 6:37 NLTBible. (2) Through teaching by a teacher or personal bible studies. While listening to a teaching from a teacher our eyes are opened to see God's will concerning an issue and this also occurs during private studies , the Bible says "The teaching of your word gives light, so even the simple can understand." Psalms 119:130 NLT Bible (3) Spontaneous Revelation: Your own ears will hear him. Right behind you a voice will say, “This is the way you should go,” whether to the right or to the left."Isaiah 30:21 NLT Bible. God speaks to people as in friends talking to one another . This is made possible through habitual praise worship and keeping yourself unspotted with the lusts of the world's system ." And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him. Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and .."
