RIGHT AND WRONG REACTIONS TOWARDS SUFFERINGS.

 

 


 “The wicked writhe in pain throughout their lives. Years of trouble are stored up for the ruthless." Job 15:20 NLT

  All of the sufferings on earth are man-made as a result of the wickedness and selfishness of man. Suffering is facilitated by the devil and his demons. The wicked gets their inspiration from Satan while the godly from God. 

   Suffering turns the righteous towards God as they seek for his help . Some of the wicked  become more wicked during hard times . The bible says " Lord , you are searching for honesty. You struck your people, but they paid no attention. You crushed them, but they refused to be corrected. They are determined, with faces set like stone; they have refused to repent ".Jeremiah 5:3 NLT

     Instead of seeking for repentance and deliverance ,the truly wicked would rather chose to curse God the more . The Bible says  "They will go from one place to another, weary and hungry. And because they are hungry, they will rage and curse their king and their God. They will look up to heaven

" Isaiah 8:21 NLT

   Most persons who promote the idea that God does not exist do so not for a logical reason because we need more faith to doubt God's existence than believe he exists . Doubting God requires rejecting the universal law of 'cause and effect' , therefore ,  if 'the Big bang' was uncaused ( speaking like an unbeliever) it therefore follows that we do not exist because life operates on the principle of cause and effect . 

   Some very wicked persons tend to repent as a result of sufferings . The Bible says "When God began killing them, they finally sought him. They repented and took God seriously." Psalms 78:34 NLT It took a hard time in prison for Manasseh to turn to God ( 2Chron33:9-13) king Nebuchadnezzar was reduced to living with animals before his salvation. God knows how to save stubborn persons.  

   Some reasons for the sufferings in the world includes greed or corruption ( Josh7:1-26,Nah3:1) , it is the cause of all wars , oppression and most sufferings in the world that is why we must elect honest men and women into government. Unpaid or incomplete wages by employers of labour  ,results in untold hardships in families.  ( James5:1-6) . 

   Other reasons for the sufferings in our lives include environmental pollution ( Micah2:10b, Isa24:5, Amos7:17) and improper dietary habits ( Phil.3:19 ; Numbers11:19-20,31-34) and drug and alcohol abuse ( Prov23:29-35, 1 Cor3:17). Overworking also results in sufferings ( Phil2:27,30 , Eccl12:12) .

     During hardships it is best to avoid complaining , avoid apportioning blames too ( Ruth 1:20-21) an unhealthy approach to sufferings includes  bitterness ( Job1:7-9) hopelessness ( Exo6;9, Prov24:10) these only lead to harm . In everything give thanks knowing all things work out for the good of them that love God. 

Prayer : Heavenly father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive as Lord and savior and  receive the Holy Ghost and power to spread the gospel with signs and wonders following in Jesus name.

CONSEQUENCES OF LACK OF FAITH

COMMON CAUSES OF DISUNITY.

Proverbs 29:22 NLTBible        Disunity is defined as : disagreement and conflict within a group. It is the greatest hindrance to the promotion of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Disunity creates an avenue for Satan to promote sin.       The causes of disunity are not farfetched ,they include : Unhealthy Crave for power or self- promotion. Whenever there is an unhealthy pursuit of influence in a family or group it results in resistance. Self-promotion gives birth to unfair practices and injustices. In Numbers 12: 1-15  Moses' sister Miriam and Aaron rebelled against him desiring to rule by force and in Numbers 16 :1-35 Korah led an insurrection against Moses desiring to be part of leadership.
