THE DANGER IN LYING AND DECEIT

" But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession. And he kept back part of the proceeds, his wife also being aware of  it, and brought a certain part and laid it at the apostles’ feet. But Peter said, “Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and keep back part of the price of the land for yourself? While it remained, was it not your own? And after it was sold, was it not in your own control? Why have you conceived this thing in your heart? You have not lied to men but to God.” Then Ananias, hearing these words, fell down and breathed his last. So great fear came upon all those who heard these things. And the young men arose and wrapped him up, carried him out, and buried him. Now it was about three hours later when his wife came in, not knowing what had happened. And Peter answered her, “Tell me whether you sold the land for so much?” She said, “Yes, for so much.” Then Peter said to her, “How is it that you have agreed together to test the Spirit of the Lord? Look, the feet of those who have buried your husband are at the door, and they will carry you out.” Then immediately she fell down at his feet and breathed her last. And the young men came in and found her dead, and carrying her out, buried her by her husband."  Acts 5:1‭-‬10 NKJV

   The message of grace has been so diluted by humanistic theologians to the point of excluding the consequences of evil actions that are condemned by the holy  scriptures .   The result of this theology is the gradual erasure of the need for repentance as a precondition for salvation and destruction of the church. The gospel of Jesus Christ is intuitive and life transforming . It is defined as Truth ,therefore ,a lie is anything contrary to the gospel of Jesus Christ . It is anti-Christ . Truth or the gospel is the solution to building a prosperous and progressive society where equity  and justice reigns . 

   Lying hinders the Holy Spirit and results in the loss of lives and properties . It is behind the underdevelopment of poor nations.  God does not tolerate lying and the punishment for lying in Acts chapter five was capital punishment. This happened in the  dispensation of grace. It is a new  testament theology . Judas Iscariot died because of deceit .
    The scriptures teaches that God hates lying and liars will not  go unpublished. The Bible says ' A false witness will not go unpunished, And he  who speaks lies shall perish." Proverbs 19:9 NKJV
. Nations with a culture of lying suffer from economic instability and insecurity despite the abundance of talented and skillful citizens . No nation can truly make progress until citizens repent from lying . There is no escape from the spiritual consequences of lying ,the bible says " A false witness will not go unpunished, And he  who speaks lies will not escape." Proverbs 19:5 NKJV
  Businesses and marriages built on lies are soon stopped by the Lord to save lives and property. " But the king shall rejoice in God; ..But the mouth of those who speak lies shall be stopped." Psalms 63:11 NKJV
  God's word in both new and old testaments warns against lying  "Do not lie to one another, since you have put off the old man with his deeds," Colossians 3:9 NKJV and  "Therefore, putting away lying, “ Let each one of  you speak truth with his neighbor,” for we are members of one another."
Ephesians 4:25 NKJV   and ‘You shall not steal, nor deal falsely, nor lie to one another. " Leviticus 19:11 . Liars are in danger of not entering God's kingdom Revelations 21: 8 says " But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and ALL LIARS , shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death."
 Speaking less and asking the lord to guide our speech helps us overcome  lying tendencies  .
Prayer : Heavenly father.  Forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as Lord and saviour and revive the Holy Ghost and power for self control in Jesus name .

CONSEQUENCES OF LACK OF FAITH

COMMON CAUSES OF DISUNITY.

Proverbs 29:22 NLTBible        Disunity is defined as : disagreement and conflict within a group. It is the greatest hindrance to the promotion of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Disunity creates an avenue for Satan to promote sin.       The causes of disunity are not farfetched ,they include : Unhealthy Crave for power or self- promotion. Whenever there is an unhealthy pursuit of influence in a family or group it results in resistance. Self-promotion gives birth to unfair practices and injustices. In Numbers 12: 1-15  Moses' sister Miriam and Aaron rebelled against him desiring to rule by force and in Numbers 16 :1-35 Korah led an insurrection against Moses desiring to be part of leadership.
