FAMILY GOALS (1)

John 14:23 "Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. "

  There is a difference between love of God and Love for God .The first is God expressing his love through a person to others even if you do not have a passion for them . Case in point , is God using Jonah to save Nineveh . He did not like the Ninevites because they were known terrorists (Assyrians in present day Iraq , the forerunners of ISIS terrorists group) 

  Given a choice he would have preferred they perished in their sins, but God had a different idea to teach humanity the power of his love through forgiveness. The cure for sin is forgiveness and it is the greatest expression of God's love to humanity .

   Humanly speaking, it is difficult to love someone who deliberately hurts you . However, it is possible if we have love for God demonstrated through meditating on God's word. God is the same as his word .You cannot love God without loving his word.

  The bibles says there is a reward for loving or delighting in God's word , one of them according to John 14:23 is that He will build your marriage or home with you .Such homes are synonymous with righteousness , peace and Joy in the holy ghost (Romans 14:17) Unfortunately, a lot of Christians tend to build their homes to impress their peers in the world and to satisfy selfish ego. Such homes are devoid of divine wisdom and full of arguments, complaining, quarrels and demonic activities .

    If you do not  enjoy the company of your family members chances are the family  no longer has passion for God's word. They don't study the bible on a daily basis neither do they spend quality  time in binding and casting out demons through intercessory prayers. 

  As a soldier of Christ , your family is constantly under the attacks of Satan through evil imaginations. He will not stop until your marriage and family is destroyed. These attacks come in the form of evil and filthy thoughts and verbal abuse and disrespect for each other. The word of God is the only weapon powerful enough to stop the devil's onslaught.

  The first thing Satan does before destroying a marriage is to preoccupy a willing spouse with something seemingly good to keep them from God's word early in the  mornings when the human soul is more receptive to information. That's why David said in Psalm 63: 1 'O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;" 

 The word of God strengthens you to face the challenges of the day. It is and should be number one on your priority list.,Download audio bibles Apps like youversion from the Google play store. Listen to Galatian 5, and 1 Corinthians 13:and Proverbs chapters 5,6,7,31 and 1 Peter 3: Satan cannot enter a home with hearts full of God's word. Read devotionals also surround yourself with godly entertainment ,friends, Download YouTube music, Boomplay and search for your genre in gospel music.   Give no room for satanic thoughts . Avoid persons that hate God's word. 

Prayer : Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as Lord and saviour and ask you to fill me with your Holy Spirit and power to promote peace . Amen

CONSEQUENCES OF LACK OF FAITH

COMMON CAUSES OF DISUNITY.

Proverbs 29:22 NLTBible        Disunity is defined as : disagreement and conflict within a group. It is the greatest hindrance to the promotion of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Disunity creates an avenue for Satan to promote sin.       The causes of disunity are not farfetched ,they include : Unhealthy Crave for power or self- promotion. Whenever there is an unhealthy pursuit of influence in a family or group it results in resistance. Self-promotion gives birth to unfair practices and injustices. In Numbers 12: 1-15  Moses' sister Miriam and Aaron rebelled against him desiring to rule by force and in Numbers 16 :1-35 Korah led an insurrection against Moses desiring to be part of leadership.
