HE IS WORKING THROUGH YOU

" and an appointment with Herod was granted. When the day arrived, Herod put on his royal robes, sat on his throne, and made a speech to them. The people gave him a great ovation, shouting, “It’s the voice of a god, not of a man!” Instantly, an angel of the Lord struck Herod with a sickness, because he accepted the people’s worship instead of giving the glory to God. So he was consumed with worms and died." Acts of the Apostles 12:21‭-‬23 NLT

    Whatever achievement or height attained in life is often attributed to a person's skills  ,wisdom , intellect and hard work, but critical analysis  proves otherwise. 

   There are factors such as upbringing, nationality , geographical location  , physiology,  inspiration , health , weather , security, media, community , family , emotions and passions, intelligence quotient ,and their like  that  are contributing factors to a person's success. These are factors controlled by providence . It is therefore , out of place for a person to claim that their success is by self effort . Time and chance happens to all .

   The bible says , " I have observed something else under the sun. The fastest runner doesn’t always win the race, and the strongest warrior doesn’t always win the battle. The wise sometimes go hungry, and the skillful are not necessarily wealthy. And those who are educated don’t always lead successful lives. It is all decided by chance, by being in the right place at the right time.

"Ecclesiastics 9:11

   King Herod learned this truth the hard way when he took God's glory  . Life is beyond what we perceive and whatever we  are today is  the result of many contributing factors .The bible says " For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him." Philippians 2:13 NLT 
  The ability to perform any function comes from God and he should be praised and openly acknowledged as the power behind all success stories.  The bible says "Do you have the gift of speaking? Then speak as though God himself were speaking through you. Do you have the gift of helping others? Do it with all the strength and energy that God supplies. Then everything you do will bring glory to God through Jesus Christ. All glory and power to him forever and ever! Amen." 1 Peter 4:11 NLT
   Whenever God is acknowledged as the power behind all success stories we receive purpose and strength to thrive during trying times. Pride hinders a person from giving God the glory that is due him ,pride destroys great dreams  . The bible says  " He boasts, “By my own powerful arm I have done this. With my own shrewd wisdom I planned it..... . But can the ax boast greater power than the person who uses it? Is the saw greater than the person who saws? Can a rod strike unless a hand moves it? Can a wooden cane walk by itself? " Isaiah 10:13‭, ‬15 NLT
    Prayer : Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and 
saviour and I receive the Holy Spirit and power for extraordinary breakthroughs .

CONSEQUENCES OF LACK OF FAITH

It is the substance ( title deed) of things hoped for ,the evidence of things not seen (Hebrew 11:1) .The Bible warns against not having faith in God. Lack of faith is equal to calling God a liar and untrustworthy. COMMON CAUSES OF DISUNITY.

Proverbs 29:22 NLTBible        Disunity is defined as : disagreement and conflict within a group. It is the greatest hindrance to the promotion of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Disunity creates an avenue for Satan to promote sin.       The causes of disunity are not farfetched ,they include : Unhealthy Crave for power or self- promotion. Whenever there is an unhealthy pursuit of influence in a family or group it results in resistance. Self-promotion gives birth to unfair practices and injustices. In Numbers 12: 1-15  Moses' sister Miriam and Aaron rebelled against him desiring to rule by force and in Numbers 16 :1-35 Korah led an insurrection against Moses desiring to be part of leadership.
