QUALITIES OF A GODLY MARRIAGE

Ruth  1;16 And Ruth said, Intreat  me not to leave thee, or to return from following  after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and  where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall  be my people, and thy God my God:  17 Where  thou diest, will I die, and there will I be buried: the  Lord do so to me, and more also, if ought but  death part thee and me. 18 When she saw that  she was stedfastly minded to go with her, then  she left speaking unto her.

    Proverb 15:22 '"'Without counsel purposes are disappointed: but in the multitude of counsellors they are established." 

   The scriptures says councillors are important for the fulfilment of the divine purpose. That was what Ruth sought to get from her mother in law resulting in her marriage to Boaz a prosperous God fearing man after the death of her husband 

   A godly role model in marriage must be kind  the bible says in proverbs 11: 16 A  gracious woman retaineth honour: and strong  men retain riches" . Kindness opens doors for honor in a marriage. A woman who is gracious never suffers lack and finds help in times of need.

     A godly woman role model builds up and promotes others bringing honour to her husband , the bible says " A worthy wife is a crown for her husband, but a disgraceful woman is like cancer in his bones. " Proverbs 12:4 Sadly a lot of men are suffering terrible medical conditions because of a troublesome wife and vice versa. 

   A woman who is a godly role model is wise , the bible says "A wise woman builds her home, but a foolish woman tears it down with her own hands. " Proverbs 14:1 this is achieved through good understanding.

 Parents should pray for God to give their children understanding  spouses, this is a characteristic of godly role models . The bible says "  Fathers can give their sons an inheritance of houses and wealth,     but only the lord can give an understanding wife. " Proverbs 19:14 

  Such a woman is trustworthy , bible says " Her husband can trust her,  and she will greatly enrich his life. " Proverbs 31:11

   She is very God fearing , the bible says "  Charm is deceptive, and beauty does not last;     but a woman who fears the lord will be greatly praised. " Proverbs 31:30

  Her husband is firm , the bible says '  For the lord corrects those he loves,  just as a father corrects a child in whom he delights."  Proverbs 3:12 Permissiveness results in weak families with no moral values .

   The husband in a model family is faithful , the bible says " Let your wife be a fountain of blessing for you. Rejoice in the wife of your youth. " Proverbs 5:18 He protects his family " the bible says " Those who fear the lord are secure;  he will be a refuge for their children. " Proverbs 14:26 He is concerned about the type of friends they make and the content of entertainment materials because he fears God. The bible says " Those who fear the lord are secure; he will be a refuge for their children. " Proverbs 14:26

  He is honest in his dealings  the bible says "  An honest witness tells the truth;  a false witness tells lies. " Proverbs 12:17 and avoids cutting comers while providing for his family .The bible says " Good people leave an inheritance to their grandchildren,     but the sinner’s wealth passes to the godly'. Proverbs 13:22 this he does through proper strategic planning. The wealth of sinners eventually end up with the godly.

 Prayer: Heavenly father forgive me of my sins against I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as Lord and saviour and ask to be given the Holy Ghost and power to mend broken homes .Amen

CONSEQUENCES OF LACK OF FAITH

Believe!”John 20:27 NLTBible     Faith is the guarantee of the manifestation an unseen reality . It is the reason behind the hope we have in God and the fulfilment of his promises. It is the substance ( title deed) of things hoped for ,the evidence of things not seen (Hebrew 11:1) .The Bible warns against not having faith in God. Lack of faith is equal to calling God a liar and untrustworthy. COMMON CAUSES OF DISUNITY.

Proverbs 29:22 NLTBible        Disunity is defined as : disagreement and conflict within a group. It is the greatest hindrance to the promotion of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Disunity creates an avenue for Satan to promote sin.       The causes of disunity are not farfetched ,they include : Unhealthy Crave for power or self- promotion. Whenever there is an unhealthy pursuit of influence in a family or group it results in resistance. Self-promotion gives birth to unfair practices and injustices. In Numbers 12: 1-15  Moses' sister Miriam and Aaron rebelled against him desiring to rule by force and in Numbers 16 :1-35 Korah led an insurrection against Moses desiring to be part of leadership.
