IF JESUS CHRIST IS GOD ,TO WHOM DOES HE PRAY TO ?

Romans 10:17 'So then  faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the  word of God.

Habakuk 2:18 "What profiteth the graven image that the maker thereof hath graven it; the molten image, and a teacher of lies, that the maker of his work trusteth therein, to make dumb god and idols?

  One of the many controversies surrounding the divinity of Jesus Christ is with regards to his prayers. The simple question is ' If Jesus Christ is God then to whom was he praying to.

 God distinguishes himself from man- made gods (idols) by the fact that they cannot speak . God is the ultimate mind that controls the universe. The mind is the place where words are created . These words are an expression of the state of the mind at any given time and are as powerful as the mind with creative abilities. Jesus Christ is described is the word of God and is God (John 1;1-3,14ThatTimothy 3:16)    and a major characteristic of the mind is that it can speak to itself and it operates chronologically.  That means for every word spoken , there was a word spoken before that word and so on and it originates from the mind and finally the mind ( in this case God, the source of all things )

 Have you asked yourself , who was God speaking  to before he created the angels and the universe? Since he is not dumb , he must have been speaking to himself . Therefore , count it not strange to hear that God speaks to himself .

  That was how he created the heavens and the earth . Observing a little girl building a toy house , you will see the same thing playing out , the child speaking to herself intelligently. That girl was created in the image of God and simply behaving like him. The toy house already exists in her mind and she translates it into words and then corresponding actions. Let us look at this logically again through this statement in a dialogue between Michael and a religious bigot.

"  Michael promised himself that he will never allow himself to be misled.'

QUESTION?

1) Who was Michael speaking to ?

Religious bigot answers : He was speaking to another person .? Since a person cannot speak to himself he must be speaking to another person. 

CHRISTIAN LOGIC: 

God is not dumb therefore he has a word .Jesus is the word of God (John1;1)

Since speaking to oneself is a precondition to walking in faith , God communicates with himself. When spirits communicate it is called prayer. Prayer is communion with self and others .

A person can speak to himself to have restrain like a man saying to himself ; " I promised myself that I will stay away from hard drugs "

Example of God speaking to himself in the bible :

Genesis 1;26 Then God said, “Let us make human beings in our image, to be like us. They will reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, the livestock, all the wild animals on the earth, and the small animals that scurry along the ground.” 

  The word 'US' is the royal 'we' associated with kingdoms as in the British crown  and it is singular in nature. God also spoke to himself  Again   "The lord said to my Lord,     “Sit in the place of honor at my right hand until I humble your enemies,     making them a footstool under your feet.”   Psalms 110:1

NB The Lord said to my Lord. 

Question : How many Lords given there is only ONE GOD and Jesus Christ is the word of God. 

   God speaks and is still speaking to himself and to the universe . The universe is sustained by the word of his power .

 ' The Son radiates God’s own glory and expresses the very character of God, and he sustains everything by the mighty power of his command. When he had cleansed us from our sins, he sat down in the place of honor at the right hand of the majestic God in heaven."  Hebrews 1:3

Prayer : Heavenly father forgive me of my sins I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive power to overcome temptation .Amen
