SPIRITUAL HUSBANDS AND WIVES

John 6:56-57  

KJV  “He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him. As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me”
Matt 26:26 NIV "While they were eating, Jesus took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to his disciples, saying, "Take and eat; this is my body."
      The idea that the reason a born again Christian has marital problems or difficulties as a result being married to a spiritual wife or  a spiritual husband runs contrary to the concept of the holy communion : the most sacred ritual in Christianity . This idea is a carryover of pagan doctrines mostly among African communities where it is believed that a woman for instance could be dedicated by her family to the worship of a deity and from that moment she becomes the property of that deity , she is considered  married to that deity and if she gets pregnant by the permission of the priest , her offspring are considered children of the deity and or the juju priest and if they got married to someone outside that juju cult , her family could suffer harm by reason of the anger of the deity who feels betrayed .
        These doctrines are being spread in most African churches by preachers with affiliations to juju priests. It is one of the reasons behind the very high rate of superstition and underdevelopment in the African continent. What is more disheartening is that a lot of educated persons are caught in this vicious cycle. 1 Cor 8:7 NIV Says "..Some people are still so accustomed to idols .." and 1 Cor 8:4NIV says "..We know that an idol is nothing at all in the world.." idols are man-made and powerless.
       The doctrine of spiritual marriages runs contrary to Jesus’ teachings on salvation by grace through faith as demonstrated by the holy sacrament of the body and blood of Jesus Christ. Whenever we eat the consecrated bread and drink the wine we acknowledge our oneness in spirit , soul and body with Jesus Christ . It is a fulfillment of John6:56-57 “He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him”  This is our source of life on earth ;Jesus said in Matt 4:4 KJV  “ But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.” Jesus is the living word of God and the sacred bread by the law of superimposition is His body. It is therefore an abomination to say that the born again Christian has a spiritual husband or wife dwelling with him or her in Christ. For that to be possible Jesus would have to be in a marriage covenant with a demon. God forbid. Those who teach these sorts of doctrines do not know the gravity of their assertions.
    The believer in Jesus Christ is likened to a bride and has only one husband (Jesus Christ) 2 Cor 11:2 NIV  says “…I promised you to one husband, to Christ, so that I might present you as a pure virgin to him” and Rev 21:2 NIV  says  “I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband.”  Heb 12:22-24 NIV describes our present status or spiritual profile, it says “But you have come to Mount Zion, to the heavenly Jerusalem, the city of the living God. You have come to thousands upon thousands of angels in joyful assembly,  to the church of the firstborn, whose names are written in heaven. You have come to God, the judge of all men, to the spirits of righteous men made perfect, to Jesus the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood that speaks a better word than the blood of Abel.” As you can clearly see, there is no room for a spiritual husband or wife in this holy assembly that the child of God belongs to. The day you received Jesus Christ as lord ,every contract you made directly or indirectly with Satan came to an end. You are a new personality with a completely new identity and a glorious future(2Cor5:17) .
Prayer : Heavenly Father forgive me of my sins against you I believe Jesus Christ died and was raised again for my salvation I receive him as lord and saviour and receive the Holy Spirit and power to overturn the evil prophecy or vision against my family in Jesus name.

CONSEQUENCES OF LACK OF FAITH

COMMON CAUSES OF DISUNITY.

Proverbs 29:22 NLTBible        Disunity is defined as : disagreement and conflict within a group. It is the greatest hindrance to the promotion of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Disunity creates an avenue for Satan to promote sin.       The causes of disunity are not farfetched ,they include : Unhealthy Crave for power or self- promotion. Whenever there is an unhealthy pursuit of influence in a family or group it results in resistance. Self-promotion gives birth to unfair practices and injustices. In Numbers 12: 1-15  Moses' sister Miriam and Aaron rebelled against him desiring to rule by force and in Numbers 16 :1-35 Korah led an insurrection against Moses desiring to be part of leadership.
